Author-Publisher Agreement

This Agreement outlines the terms between the Author(s) submitting a manuscript and SciFormat Publishing Inc. (“the Publisher”) regarding the publication of scholarly work in journals, books, or conference proceedings managed and operated by SciFormat Publishing Inc. By submitting a manuscript, the Author(s) agree to the following terms.

1. Definitions

Publisher: SciFormat Publishing Inc., Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Author(s): The individual(s) creating and submitting the Work.
Work: The manuscript, including any supplementary material, submitted for publication.
Journal/Book/Proceedings: The publication venue where the Work may appear.

2. Originality and Authorship

The Author(s) confirm that the Work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under review with another journal or publisher. All listed authors meet authorship criteria and have approved the submission.

3. Ethical Standards

The Author(s) warrant that the Work complies with ethical research standards, including approvals for studies involving human or animal subjects where applicable. All sources must be properly cited, and the Work must be free of plagiarism.

4. Copyright and Licensing

The Author(s) retain full copyright to their Work.

Upon acceptance, the Author(s) grant SciFormat Publishing Inc. a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, reproduce, and archive the Work in any medium.

The Work will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing reuse with proper attribution to the Author(s).

5. Open Access and Article Processing Charges (APC)

The Journal operates under an open access publishing model.

If applicable, an Article Processing Charge (APC) becomes payable only after the Work has been formally accepted for publication.

The APC covers publication and post-acceptance services, including manuscript production and publication preparation, copyediting and/or technical editing where applicable, typesetting and formatting, DOI registration and metadata preparation, online publication and hosting, digital preservation, and maintenance of the published scholarly record and publishing infrastructure.

Peer review and editorial decision-making are conducted independently of the APC and are not services purchased by the Author(s). Payment of the APC has no influence on reviewer recommendations or editorial decisions.

The applicable refund conditions are defined in the Journal’s Article Processing Charge and Refund Policy.

6. Warranties

The Author(s) warrant that:

  • the Work is original and does not infringe copyright, trademark, or other rights;

  • all permissions for third-party materials were obtained;

  • the Work contains no defamatory or unlawful content.

The Author(s) agree to indemnify SciFormat Publishing Inc. against claims arising from breaches of these warranties.

7. Editorial Process

Submission of the Work does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Reviewer recommendations are advisory. The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection rests with the Editor-in-Chief or a designated editor.

Where revisions are requested, the Author(s) are expected to address the reviewers’ and/or editors’ comments within the specified timeframe.

8. Withdrawal Policy

If the Author(s) request withdrawal of the Work after peer review or after acceptance without valid justification, the Publisher may decline future submissions from the Author(s).

Any refund of an APC is governed by the Journal’s applicable Article Processing Charge and Refund Policy.

9. Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author ensures that all co-authors approve the final submitted version and agree to the terms of this Agreement.
The Author(s) are responsible for accuracy, citations, ethical compliance, and revision requirements.

10. Data Availability

The Author(s) agree to comply with SciFormat Publishing Inc.’s data availability policy and provide supporting data where legally and ethically permissible.

11. Termination

This Agreement may be terminated by either party in case of breach.
However, once published, the license granted to the Publisher remains irrevocable.

Acknowledgement

By submitting the Work, the Author(s) confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms of this Author–Publisher Agreement.
