The International Journal of Innovative Technologies in Economy (IJITE) follows a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and originality of the research we publish. Our double-blind review model ensures that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential, promoting unbiased and objective assessments.

1. Initial Manuscript Assessment

  • Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial evaluation by the editorial team to determine if it aligns with the journal’s aims and scope.
  • Manuscripts are screened for adherence to submission guidelines, originality, and relevance. Those that do not meet these criteria may be returned to authors for revisions or declined.

2. Assignment of Reviewers

  • Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are assigned to two or more independent reviewers with expertise in the subject area.
  • Reviewers are selected based on their qualifications and familiarity with the topic, ensuring a comprehensive and knowledgeable evaluation of the research.

3. Double-Blind Review Process

  • IJITE follows a double-blind review process, meaning that the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept anonymous.
  • Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on criteria including originality, methodology, significance, clarity, and adherence to ethical standards.

4. Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Quality and Integrity: Reviewers assess the scientific rigor, accuracy, and relevance of the research, providing constructive feedback for improving the manuscript.
  • Confidentiality: Reviewers are required to treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not disclose any details to third parties.
  • Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within a designated timeframe, typically two to three weeks. If more time is needed, reviewers should inform the editorial office promptly.

5. Review Outcomes

Reviewers provide recommendations based on their assessment, which may include:

  • Accept: The manuscript is suitable for publication with minimal or no revisions.
  • Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor improvements but is generally suitable for publication.
  • Major Revisions: Significant revisions are required, and the manuscript must be re-evaluated after changes are made.
  • Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards for quality or relevance and is unsuitable for publication.

6. Decision Making

  • The editorial team reviews the feedback from all reviewers and makes a decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the overall quality of the manuscript.
  • Authors are informed of the decision, along with detailed comments and suggestions from reviewers, to guide any required revisions.

7. Revision and Resubmission

  • Authors who receive requests for minor or major revisions must address all reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.
  • Revised manuscripts are subject to further review, often by the same reviewers, to ensure that the authors have adequately addressed the feedback.

8. Final Decision and Acceptance

  • After the revisions are complete and the manuscript meets the journal’s standards, the editorial team makes the final decision to accept the manuscript.
  • Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production stage, where they are prepared for publication.

9. Appeals Process

  • Authors who disagree with the editorial decision may submit an appeal with a detailed explanation. The editorial team will review the appeal, possibly involving additional reviewers, to reach a final decision.

  • IJITE follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to uphold the integrity and fairness of the peer review process.
  • Reviewers, authors, and editors are expected to adhere to ethical standards, ensuring that each manuscript is evaluated based on its scientific merit and contribution to the field.
