Open Access Policy

The International Journal of Innovative Technologies in Economy (IJITE) is an Open Access journal, committed to making scientific knowledge freely accessible to researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and the general public. Our Open Access policy ensures that all articles published in the journal are available to everyone without any subscription or paywall barriers, supporting the rapid dissemination of research and the advancement of technology and economic fields.

1. Open Access Model

IJITE operates under the Gold Open Access model, meaning that all articles are freely accessible to readers immediately upon publication. Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal the right to distribute it under an open access license. There are no subscription fees or restrictions on access.

2. Licensing

All articles published in IJITE are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows others to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

The only requirement is that proper credit must be given to the original authors and source. This ensures that the work is freely available for reuse while maintaining author recognition.

3. Article Processing Charges (APC)

To support open access publication and the long-term availability of published articles, IJITE applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to manuscripts that have been formally accepted for publication.

The APC covers publication and post-acceptance services, including manuscript production and publication preparation, copyediting and/or technical editing where applicable, typesetting and formatting, DOI registration and metadata preparation, online publication and hosting, digital preservation, and maintenance of the journal’s publishing infrastructure.

The APC for IJITE is 120 USD per accepted manuscript.

Peer review and editorial decision-making are conducted independently of the APC. Payment of an APC, eligibility for an APC waiver, or the method of payment has no influence on reviewer recommendations or editorial decisions.

Authors from countries classified as low-income economies by the World Bank may apply for an APC waiver. Waiver requests should be submitted at the time of manuscript submission and are considered on a case-by-case basis.

5. Archiving and Preservation

IJITE is committed to the long-term preservation of published content. Articles are archived in multiple repositories and digital libraries, ensuring that the content remains accessible even if the journal ceases operations. Authors are also encouraged to self-archive their published work in institutional repositories or on personal websites.

6. Compliance with Open Access Mandates

Many research funders, institutions, and governments require that the results of publicly funded research be made available through open access. IJITE complies with these mandates and allows authors to meet the open access requirements of their funding bodies.

7. No Embargo Policy

IJITE does not impose any embargo periods on its articles. Once a manuscript is accepted and published, it is immediately available to the public under the Creative Commons license without delay.
