Abstract

The current study aims to identify the conceptual framework of artificial intelligence and determine its fields. It also seeks to identify a range of artificial intelligence techniques and applications that benefit doctoral students and assist them in preparing scientific research. The study sample consisted of 51 doctoral students from universities in Algeria, while the questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument. The study results concluded that doctoral students use various artificial intelligence programs for different research purposes, the most important of which are translation and reference collection. Meanwhile, the level of students' use of these programs was found to be moderate, with users facing several challenges in their application, most of which are attributed to the cost of paid programs.
